In the popular Treia and thus between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea and the district towns of Schleswig and Husum, a modern residential area is being built on the site of the former Matthiesen farm, consisting of four apartment buildings with six residential units each and three semi-detached houses.

Treia municipality

Macro location

Treia is located on the federal highway 201 between Husum and Schleswig on the river Treene, whose former name “Trae-Aa” (wooden floodplain) is probably also the origin of the place name. Even today, a high proportion of forest still characterizes the image of the municipality, which has over 1500 inhabitants. Its privileged location, particularly its proximity to the North Sea and Baltic Sea, makes Treia an ideal starting point for tours in northern Schleswig-Holstein and southern Denmark. The Treene itself is known far beyond regional borders as a fishing and paddling paradise. The many cycle and footpaths complement the tourist offering. Efficient businesses from trade, commerce and industry have supported the development of the town, and Treia has managed to retain its village character. South: From Hamburg via the A7 to the Schleswig-Schuby exit, from there via the B201 to Treia.
North: From Flensburg you can also easily reach Treia via the to the Schleswig-Schuby exit, from there via the B201 to Treia.
The property is located in Treia, centrally located between the district towns of Schleswig and Husum. You can reach both cities by car in around 20 minutes.

Train:
Train stations with InterCity long-distance and regional services are located in the district towns of Schleswig and Husum, from here trains run to Hamburg, Kiel, Sylt - but Berlin, Frankfurt and Copenhagen can also be reached from here.

Another train station is only around 12 minutes away by car in Jübek. From here regional trains run to Husum, Kiel, Hamburg and Flensburg.

Bus:
You can travel by bus to Schleswig and Husum. The nearest bus stop is only around 350 meters away.
