Location & surroundings
Country charm
Steinbüchel is located in the far east of the city of Leverkusen on the foothills of the Bergisches Land and is therefore probably the most rural area of the city. In the vicinity there are recreation and nature reserves such as the Bürgerbusch and Lake Oulu. The scenic surroundings can be easily explored by bike and are also very popular with walkers and hikers.
But Steinbüchel has more to offer than "just" the green surroundings: the quality of life, the economy and the job market have developed particularly well in Leverkusen in recent years. The city invests a lot in housing and education - Steinbüchel also benefits from this.
Village character
Steinbüchel impresses with its grown structures, the townscape is characterized by single-family houses and tree-lined streets as well as some historic buildings.
There are easily accessible supermarkets and bakeries for everyday needs - both in Steinbüchel itself and in neighboring Lützenkirchen. There is no shortage of physical well-being either: cafés and restaurants offer a varied selection of small and large dishes from home-style and international cuisine.
Leisure time
Athletes and those who want to become one can choose between two fitness studios, the local tennis club and the SSV Lützenkirchen. This offers numerous popular sports for sports enthusiasts of all ages. In addition, the open landscape around Steinbüchel invites you to go jogging and cycling.
The developed village environment is particularly attractive for children: Thanks to traffic-calmed streets and 30 km/h zones, they can move around here safely and spend their free time with their peers on playgrounds or in youth clubs.
Education
It's also not far to daycare or school: the PAESCHKE Group is currently building a daycare center in the immediate vicinity of the new residential area, which will be completed in summer 2023. There are other day-care centers run by different providers in town.
Every type of school, from elementary school to vocational college, is represented within a radius of less than four kilometers.
Here & there
In Steinbüchel you live centrally between the Rhine metropolises of Cologne and Düsseldorf, which you can reach in about 30 minutes by car (about 5 km to the A 3).
Leverkusen city center is even closer, approx. 10 minutes by car. With the tightly scheduled public transport, non-drivers can also get there comfortably in around 30 minutes.
