Location & surroundings
The Roggendorf district is located in the very north of the Cologne city area. The name says it all: Surrounded by fields, forest areas and meadows, the noise and hustle and bustle of the big city seem far away. The townscape is characterized by agriculture. Old farms, some of which have been lavishly restored, and the mature residential environment form a lively mix of old and new. In the surrounding area there are local recreation areas such as the Chorbusch and the Fühlinger See. The scenic area is easy to explore by bike and is also very popular with walkers, hikers and horse riders. The city center is less than 20 kilometers away and you can get there in just under half an hour by car or by S-Bahn.
