Living close to nature in Grosselfingen
The municipality of Grosselfingen is located in the heart of the Zollernalb district, in the midst of a charming landscape in the foothills of the Swabian Jura. The area is dominated by Hohenzollern Castle and the striking Alb Ascent.
Today, the community has over 2,100 inhabitants and is 520 m above sea level. The municipal area covers 1,615 ha, of which approx. 400 ha are forest and around 1,100 ha are agricultural land. Favorably located on the axis of the B27 in terms of infrastructure, the location today offers above all an ideal settlement opportunity for industry and commerce. The scenic location contributes to the fact that the community is an attractive residential community for young families with various leisure activities. The community is characterized by agriculture with numerous former farmhouses and barns in the center. Thanks to many renovation and conversion measures in recent years, the old building fabric in the town center has been preserved.
The municipality has a kindergarten and a primary and secondary school. In the town center there are shops that cover the daily needs of the residents.
