Hoppegarten – a racetrack community in idyllic Erpetal

Hoppegarten is a municipality in Berlin's so-called "bacon belt" (the up-and-coming suburbs) to the west of the Brandenburg district of Märkisch-Oderland and close to the Berlin city districts of Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Köpenick. It is known internationally as the home of the Hoppegarten racecourse and a magnet for special-interest visitors and tourism.
