As a result, UPTOWN green living achieves the AktivPlus House standard: the building will generate more renewable energy than it will consume for heating, hot water preparation and electricity – and do entirely without a gas network connection. The condominiums, which are up-to-date in every respect with well-thought-out spatial planning and homely comforts meet the highest standards of functionality and aesthetics. The design of the building and the facade blend harmoniously with the surrounding neighbourhood.
Housing concept
The total living space covers 1,705 m² and is divided into 12 x 2-room, 5 x 3-room and 5 x 4-room apartments, ranging from 60 to 114 m² each. All apartments have a balcony.
Energy supply - for the sake of the environment
UPTOWN green living has a positive energy balance: the building generates more energy than it uses. The system consists of a photovoltaic system with battery storage and a wastewater heat exchanger with heat pump and buffer storage for heating and drinking water preparation.
Outfitting
All apartments receive BW-Comfort outfitting. An elevator enables easy access. All living spaces are fitted with high-quality oak or beech parquet. Room-by-room adjustable underfloor heating ensures a pleasant indoor climate and contributes to your personal well-being.
Kitchen and bathrooms
Each apartment is designed with an open-plan kitchen and a spacious living and dining area. The bathrooms are fitted with floor-level showers and/or bathtubs, high-quality sanitary products and large-format tiles. Electrically operated towel radiators are available for a wellness-factor plus.
Windows and balconies
All apartments have high-quality, triple-glazed synthetic-framed windows. Light exposure/shade control is effected by roller shutters and blinds. With excellent U-values, the building's structural envelope complies with the KfW 55 standard. Heating and domestic hot water preparation are carried via a heat pump with a waste water heat exchanger. Water heaters are used in the apartments as redundant, backup systems.
Ventilation system
An exhaust ventilation system ensures fresh air, optimal air humidity and a healthy indoor climate. Pollen and dust are kept outside.
Photovoltaic system
Crystalline photovoltaic modules on the flat roof and organic photovoltaic elements on balcony balustrades generate electricity.
Battery storage
Lithium iron phosphate electricity storage ensures that generated energy is available for private consumption.
Heat pump
A monovalent heat pump generates space heating and hot water preparation.
Electricity
Electrical energy is required for the operation of the heat pump, for the decentralized fresh water systems and for e-mobility.
Buffer memory
Buffer storage is installed between the heat pump and the heating or drinking water systems, which compensates for temperature fluctuations and increases efficiency.
Sewer heat exchanger
A heat exchanger in the sewer in Filderbahnstrasse uses higher temperature sewage to increase the performance of the heat pump.

Effective and hygienic: fresh water stations in every apartment enable decentralized hot water preparation with short distances to points of consumption (e.g. bath/shower).
