PICEA, PHOTOVOLTAICS AND HEAT PUMP

In addition to the correct thermal insulation, efficient system technology is required for the energy-saving operation of a residential building. Not every technology that sounds good is suitable for every building, because in terms of sustainability aspects, in addition to possible energy and emission savings, the aspects of investment costs, amortization, service life, reliability, as well as replacement procurement and maintenance costs also play a role. Even if you use a green electricity tariff, the electricity supplier still supplies a significant proportion of electricity during this time that comes from non-renewable energy sources such as gas power plants, coal-fired power plants, etc.

The company HPS Home Power Solutions GmbH from Berlin has found a solution to this problem with its product picea. picea is the world's first all-season electricity storage system for homes. picea is installed in your home and supplies you with CO2-free electricity all year round and around the clock. picea is powered only by the sun via long-lasting high-performance photovoltaic modules, for example from Meyer-Burger, on the roof. In addition, you receive a highly efficient brine-water heat pump from manufacturers such as Brötje and is therefore not an air heat pump, but a much more efficient use of geothermal energy, which is extracted from the ground using geocollectors.
