Überlingen
The location
The former imperial city is ideally located on the northern shore of Lake Constance and, with almost 22,000 inhabitants, is now the second largest town in the Lake Constance district.
The old town, with its historic patrician houses, as well as the popular landing place on the lake promenade with its numerous cafés and restaurants, make Überlingen an attractive tourist and residential location for young and old.
Überlingen has a long tradition as a garden city. The town gardens, which is under conservation protection, was laid out as early as 1875. Impressive giant trees are still witnesses of this time. The signposted garden culture path connects the most beautiful parks and gardens in the town with each other over a length of around 4 km. In 2021, Überlingen became the scene of the State Horticultural Show. For this purpose, a riverside park of around six hectares was laid out.

An optimal, national connection is given by the connection to the federal motorway A81. In just under two hours' drive you can reach the state capital of Stuttgart. The national borders of Austria and Switzerland are each almost 50 kilometers away.
The nearby airports can be easily reached in a few minutes by car: Friedrichshafen (approx. 45 minutes by car), Zurich (approx. 60 minutes by car) and Stuttgart (approx. 90 minutes by car).
