The vacant apartments in particular
Düsseldorf is the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and the administrative headquarters of the Düsseldorf administrative district.
The independent city on the Rhine is the second largest city in the state with 645,923 inhabitants.
The Rhine metropolis is one of the five most important, internationally closely linked economic centers in Germany. Düsseldorf is a trade fair city and the headquarters of many listed companies, including the DAX-listed Henkel group. It is also the German location with the highest turnover for auditing, management consulting and clothing fashion, as well as an important financial and stock market center. It is also one of the leading locations in the art trade in Germany.
Düsseldorf has several Rhine ports. Its airport is the intercontinental hub of North Rhine-Westphalia. The city is also home to 22 universities, including the renowned Düsseldorf Art Academy and the Heinrich Heine University. Düsseldorf also enjoys national fame for its old town (“longest bar in the world”), its Königsallee (“Kö”) shopping boulevard, its Düsseldorf carnival, the Fortuna Düsseldorf football club and the Düsseldorfer EG ice hockey club. Other attractions include numerous museums and galleries as well as the Rhine promenade and the modern media harbor. The cityscape is also characterized by numerous high-rise buildings and church towers, the 240 meter high Rhine Tower, many architectural monuments and seven Rhine bridges.
Welcome to the state capital Düsseldorf.
Bilk is a district of the state capital.
In the north, the district boundary runs immediately south of the Düsseldorf–Neuss railway line; Bilk borders on the neighboring districts of Unterbilk and Friedrichstadt. To the east of Bilk lie the districts of Oberbilk and Wersten. Bilk surrounds the Flehe area along Münchener Straße, Himmelgeister Straße (southern part), Ulenbergstraße, Aachener Straße and Volmerswerther Straße. Also in the south, the district borders the fields of Volmerswerth along the southern edge of the southern cemetery. To the west are the fields of Hamm.
The Bilk train station is located directly on the district border in the Unterbilk area. The stop is a stop for the RE lines RE4, RE 6, RE 10 and RE13, as well as the RB line 39. The S-Bahn lines S 8, S. 11 and S 28 as well as several light rail lines (U 71 , U 72, U 73, U 83) and the bus lines (SB56, M3, 835, 836 and NE 7). Other stops on the S-Bahn lines S 8, S. 11 and S 28 directly on the Bilk district border are Völklinger Straße and Friedrichstadt. With the completion of the Wehrhahn line and its expansion into a regional train station, the station also became a stop in the light rail network. The Volksgarten S-Bahn station is a stop for the S-Bahn lines S 1, S. 6 and S 68 as well as the tram line 706.
There are four primary schools and one secondary school in Bilk. The vocational schools Max-Weber-Berufskolleg and Walter-Eucken-Berufskolleg on Suitbertusstrasse as well as the school center between Brinckmannstrasse and Redinghovenstrasse with the Brüder-Scholl-Gymnasium, the Hulda-Pankok-Gesamtschule and the Heinrich-Hertz-Berufskolleg are of city-wide importance. In addition to the teaching and research facilities of all faculties at Heinrich Heine University, the campus in Bilk also houses the departments of social and cultural sciences and economics at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. The open-air area and the greenhouses - especially the striking domed building - of the university's botanical garden are worth seeing.
The Alt St. Martin Church on Martinstrasse is the oldest still visible architectural monument in Düsseldorf. The small tuff stone church located on the southern arm of Düssel is also called the Old Bilker Church and was built around 700.
Welcome to Bilk and the Düssel.
