Munich Moosach
For a long time Moosach remained a rather inconspicuous district in Munich. But that has changed a lot today in the imagination of city dwellers.
The Moosach district, for example, has developed extremely positively due to its proximity to employers from modern industrial sectors who have settled or expanded in the north-west of Munich over the last few decades, increasing its attractiveness as a residential location.
Not least because of this, countless shopping opportunities for leisurely shopping or for daily errands have emerged. Not only is the “Olympia Einkaufszentrum” mall a focal point — the so-called “Moosacher Stachus” in the geographical triangle of Dachauer, Baubergerstrasse and Pelkovenstrasse also has a wide range of retail on offer.
The historical center of Moosach around Sankt-Martins-Platz is, along with the “Pelkovenschlössl”, the cultural center of the district. Concerts, readings, exhibitions and poetry slams take place here. The building dates from the 17th century and was originally a Hofmark palace.
