PURA "Remembering the tradition of modernism in Leipzig, between the forest and the canal, opening up, facing the sun" was the motto of the design by the architectural office W&V Architekten GmbH for the location of the former Catholic Church of St. Trinitatis at the entrance to the Rosental. The elegantly restrained design of PURA with its four harmoniously staggered corpora, which, thanks to their framing building position, successfully integrate the bell tower, which is under monument protection, into the new building concept, was convincing in a competition involving a number of architectural offices.

Our path towards more efficient investments
LEWO has been focusing on the topic of sustainability in project planning for many years. The combination of ecological and economic requirements is already an excellent basis with the current energy concepts to make an investment attractive in the long term.
In this day and age, it's even more important to plan ahead and think about the future when building homes. With our current and improved energy concept 2.0 (short: ECO 2.0) we have redefined our standard.
The combination of effective thermal-insulation installation in the building and modern heat pumps enables us to further reduce the energy consumption of our new construction projects by around 30 to 70%. With our new concept, we are increasingly relying on photovoltaic systems to generate CO₂-neutral electricity from solar energy. The energy obtained in this way is fed directly into an in-house storage system, converted and used primarily for the system technology to supply the heat pumps. The modern pump system can extract thermal energy from the outside air and heat heating and drinking water. Excess electricity can optionally be used in the summer months to cool the underfloor heating or fed into the public grid in order to increase the proportion of regenerative electricity throughout Germany and to support the energy transition in the long term.
With our ECO 2.0 concept, the ancillary costs remain permanently low thanks to our many years of experience and the measures mentioned. In addition, we create resource-saving investments that can be highly attractive on the market in the long term and have a stable return.
The efficiency of the new LEWO energy concept 2.0 is remarkable
With our changed measures, the CO2 balance improves to a large extent and thus also the value of the investment. With our new and improved ECO 2.0 concept, we achieve savings of around 59% in heating costs*.
