The district of Mariendorf is located in the south of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district and impresses with its quiet residential area with a lot of trees and with a quiet, suburban flair.
The closed residential development in the north and around Alt-Mariendorf is characteristic. Wonderful old buildings from the Wilhelminian era alternate with apartment buildings from the 30s, 50s and the 1960s.
In the south there is mostly an open single house development. Industry and trade are largely limited to the Marienpark and areas on the Teltow Canal.
