First prize for Zanderroth Architects: the design for PANDION MIDTOWN 4 was selected in a competition. What was crucial for the jury was “the successful synthesis between a very strict facade and a good rhythm that divides the building to scale”. Between the historic buildings, vaults and new houses of the first three construction phases, Zanderroth is creating a block of five elegant and well-proportioned urban houses. Its powerful, concise structure sets clear standards: merged balconies above the house entrances ensure the urban planning desired and identity-creating breaks in the façade. What is also striking is the access to the apartments from the green courtyard plateau. The staggered floor is also a world of its own: you live in small houses in the countryside high above the city. View and brewery – these are the architectural motifs that ultimately determine a high quality of life.
