Leisure and relaxation

Your new future-oriented home is located in the Farmsen-Berne district, which is part of Hamburg's Wandsbek district and directly borders the Tonndorf, Rahlstedt and Wandsbek districts. These districts are part of the historic Hamburg forest villages, which were first mentioned in documents in 1296. Today around 36,000 people live in Farmsen-Berne - perhaps you will soon too. The residents affectionately call their district “Colour”, an abbreviation for Farmsen-Berne.

The Farmsen outdoor pool invites you to sunbathe, run around and relax. This natural pool was built in a former clay pit and has been a popular bathing resort since 1920. A highlight of the outdoor pool is the approximately 200 meter long sandy beach. The lake is surrounded by sunbathing areas, and the shallow water and gentle bank make it ideal for families. Access to the water is barrier-free and the pool is divided into a non-swimmer and swimmer area.

The upper-middle-class Gut Berne, a manor house with surrounding parks and two ponds from 1296, is a popular leisure meeting place. In addition to the “Bernese Castle”, as it is also called, Farmsen-Berne is also home to the “Eisland” ice rink, where an ice disco takes place every Saturday.

NICELY CONNECTED

The connection to Hamburg's city center is excellent: the bus stop can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, the next subway station in about 10 minutes by bike.

All schools and excellent shopping opportunities are in the immediate vicinity. The popular Farmsen shopping center is only 1.6 kilometers away and offers various retail and specialist shops. There are further excellent shopping opportunities at the Rahlstedter weekly market. For those who don't want to do without their car, the A1 and A24 motorways can be reached within a short drive.
