About the town

Frickenhausen is a municipality in the district of Esslingen (Baden-Württemberg). The place belongs to the European metropolitan region of Stuttgart. The municipal area is located in the foothills of the central Swabian Jura, which is bounded by the Albtrauf in the south and the valley of the upper Neckar in the north. The districts of "Tischardt" and "Linsenhofen" were incorporated in 1972 and 1975, respectively. It is approx. 4 km to the large district town of Nürtingen and approx. 37 km to Stuttgart. The connection to the federal highway 313 (Plochingen-Reutlingen) can be reached in approx. 4 km and the A 8 (Stuttgart-Munich) in approx. 12 km away. With the "Tälesbahn" you have a first-class connection to Nürtingen and Neuffen.

Leisure activities

Numerous cycling and hiking trails around Frickenhausen, as well as the orchards and vineyards, invite you to discover the beautiful landscape.
