Wonderfully located, with an intact infrastructure, a diverse business life and a variety of social, educational and cultural facilities - all of this makes the market town of MERING one of the most popular settlement destinations in the Aichach Friedberg district.

Life in Mering

The market town of MERING in the Aichach-Friedberg district is modern and bright with around 15,000 residents. Nevertheless, the place is in an idyllic rural setting. Although Mering is growing year after year, it has retained its identity and remained clear. All important points can be reached on foot or by bike.

There are many shops and several supermarkets on site.

There is a weekly market every Friday on the large market square, which even has free Wi-Fi for citizens.

The educational infrastructure includes two primary schools, a secondary school and a high school. There are several kindergartens and daycare centers, a holiday kindergarten and an after-school care center (also for those over 10) available for younger children. With the first integrative children's group in the district, Mering took on handicapped-accessible kindergarten care at an early stage.

Mering is absolutely worth living in and offers a wide range of sporting and cultural activities with numerous clubs and many volunteers.

The leisure activities offer something for every taste. There are over 100 clubs, an outdoor pool with loungers and... Game play, a modern library, and a variety of well-developed hiking and cycling trails.

Transportation connections

With its good infrastructure, nearby lakes and nature reserves and proximity to buses and trains, Mering offers a very high quality of life. Since Mering is located directly on the Munich-Augsburg railway line, you can reach Augsburg in 15 minutes and be in the middle of Munich in just under 25 minutes.

The road transport connections are also very good. You can reach the state capital in around 40 minutes via the A8 Stuttgart-Munich motorway. Munich-Erding Airport can be reached in about 50 minutes.
