Location

“Berg am Laim” – live in a quiet location but still close to the city. In the east of Munich is the Berg am Laim district, which is one of the preferred residential areas in the Isar metropolis. Berg am Laim has a long history. The district was first mentioned in documents as early as 812. The term “Laim” means “clay”. The name refers to the natural nature of the area. A long clay tongue stretched from Ismaning to Berg am Laim, which brought prosperity to the area and its residents. Bricks from Berg-am-Laim were used for large parts of Munich's city center and for the Frauenkirche.
Today the district gains its attractiveness from the excellent infrastructure and the excellent accessibility of the center via public transport lines.
