A jewel with many facets

Hünstelden is a jewel with many facets - idyllically situated in the northern Taunus, this 9,600-inhabitant community offers numerous leisure activities as well as good shopping opportunities and comprehensive medical care. The place has developed into a popular residential community with a rural character in recent years.

With the federal road 417 to Wiesbaden and Limburg, the community has good transport links. The two junction points Limburg-Süd and Bad Camberg of the Autobahn 3 are also a short distance away, via which the entire Rhine-Main region can be reached quickly. In addition, all districts of Hünfelden are very well integrated into the regional public transport network through various bus connections. The closest long-distance train station is the Limburg Süd train station, which can be reached in around ten minutes by car. There is a connection to the ICE high-speed route Cologne-Frankfurt. More than 800 parking spaces are available for commuters in the immediate vicinity of the station building.

The municipality of Hünstelden was established in 1971 as part of the Hessian regional reform through the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Dauborn, Heringen, Kirberg, Mensfelden, Nauheim, Neesbach and Ohr. The name "Hünstelden" was chosen because of the numerous megalithic tombs from the Hallstatt period around the Heringen andehren districts.

Numerous attractive shopping opportunities as well as well-stocked grocery stores ensure good local supplies, so that all the necessities of daily life can be procured on site. Young families in particular appreciate the reliable childcare and the comprehensive range of educational opportunities.
