Glinde is already 790 years old, but still not ready for retirement - on the contrary. The town offers its young citizens everything they need for a good education. Eight daycare centers, four elementary schools, a community school and a grammar school as well as the music school are available to your children within a radius of four kilometers. You can even fish in the nearby, fish-rich Glinder mill pond. There are no fewer than 22 municipal playgrounds and football fields. A lively clubs and societies life awaits young and old. There are also tennis courts and even an 18-hole golf course. A varied cultural offer, hiking and cycling trails and an attractive town center with all manner of shops for daily errands and a weekly market warmly welcome you.
You will soon be living in the middle of nature, combined with a perfect infrastructure and the best connection to the surrounding environment and the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg. The next entrance to the A24 motorway (Hamburg-Berlin) is just a few minutes' drive away.
Public transport is well developed. By bus and subway you can be in Hamburg in around 45 minutes, by car you can make it in 30 minutes.
As a cyclist, you can look forward to a great network of cycle paths. The “Glinde-Trittau” cycle path, which leads past bathing lakes and the high ropes course, is virtually at your new front door.
