There is a connection to the regional and S-Bahn in the direction of Fürth-Nuremberg and Forchheim-Bamberg. Line 134 connects the Herzo Base with the train station in Emskirchen, line 246 with Höchstadt.
On the other hand, the Stadt-Umland-Bahn, which will also stop at Herzo Base, is still in the planning stage (www.stadtumlandbahn.de). It is expected to connect the cities of Nuremberg, Erlangen and Herzogenaurach as a tram from the early 2030s. The "Am Wegfeld" stop, the northernmost stop of the Nuremberg tram system, is the starting point for the city-surroundings railway. The destination of the route in the west is the city center of Herzogenaurach.
