The Location
Röttgen is located at the southwestern end of Bonn and is by far the largest district of Bonn in terms of area. The largest part is accounted for by the forests of the Kottenforst, which comprises almost 30% of the entire Bonn city area. With around 4,500 inhabitants, Röttgen is primarily characterized by family life and classic single-family detached house development.
Both the high recreational value and the excellent infrastructure have brought the district a steady influx. Shops for everyday items, supermarkets, pharmacies and doctors are located in the district, some within walking distance.
In addition to several kindergartens, Röttgen is home to Bonn's largest all-day primary school. The "Röttgener Gymnasium" is located in nearby Ückesdorf. The Robert Wetzlar Vocational College is located in Röttgen itself and offers not only various apprenticeships but also a technical diploma and general higher education entrance qualification.
Röttgen offers excellent infrastructure with high recreational value and excellent transport links.
