The Brandenburg town of Falkensee is located in the Havelland district, part of the so-called "Speckgürtel" ("Bacon Belt") on the northwestern edge of the capital. Falkensee has been experiencing a real development boom of late, recording significant population growth since the 1990s. Today the town is home to around 45,000 inhabitants.
