EXTERIOR: A classic, almost purist architecture speaks a timeless, objective language. Despite the green roofs and photovoltaic panels, the cubes characterize the district. A color design studio designs its own, bright-looking and graduated facade design concept. It proves that restraint and judicious changing of colors doesn't have to be boring. On the contrary: it is part of the climate concept.

OUR GOAL: A CO2-NEUTRAL ENERGY STRUCTURE IN THE QUARTER. THAT MEANS: ACTIVELY SHAPING PROGRESS.

We use highly efficient technology to provide heat to the area. Specifically: A natural gas combined heat and power plant that operates economically with high levels of efficiency will generate the heat for heating, hot water and electricity. Any excess electricity can be fed into the public grid. This so-called combined heat and power system, with which DAS NEUE GREUT meets the requirements of the Building Energy Act (GEG) for new buildings, is an important element in the transformation to a CO2-neutral generation structure. At the same time, it is open to future developments in the direction of biogas, synthetic gases and hydrogen.

Photovoltaic systems mounted on the roofs generate additional electricity that can be used as part of the so-called tenant electricity model. A charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is being built in the underground car park. Intelligent load management ensures that the electric vehicles are optimally charged at all times.

The entire energy concept is implemented by Esslinger Stadtwerke as part of a contract. SWE plans, builds, finances and operates the entire system technology and ensures a reliable, efficient and environmentally friendly heat supply using an “all-round worry-free package”. 24/7 on-call service included. SWE also takes over the billing of charging processes for electric cars.

This means you benefit from the wonderful nature surrounding the residential area and still have attractive shopping and leisure opportunities right on your doorstep. It is only a few minutes to Esslingen's city center and everything that Baden-Württemberg's largest medium-sized city has to offer. Or you can orient yourself towards the shopping opportunities in Hohenkreuz and Sulzgries/RSKN, which attract with numerous shops and markets.

No matter what phase of life you are currently in, from kindergarten to childcare, primary schools and secondary schools (from the Seewiesenschule to Schmelztor-Gymnasium), you as a family will find everything in your immediate surroundings.
