The Taunusbrunnen
Individual buildings, creatively arranged, create a lively atmosphere at COSMO. This results in lines of sight, open spaces and a play of forms emerging between the twelve buildings that comprise the ensemble. The architecture at COSMO specifically takes up the industrial charm of the 19th-century Taunusbrunnen. The new buildings give materials such as clinker brick and plaster a modern interpretation to create a harmonious transition from the past to the present.
Ten point buildings - housing a total of 119 two- to five-room apartments - are scattered across the quarter. Three house types alternate to create a diverse, colorful overall impression. At the same time, you have the opportunity to freely decide in which house to make your home. You can reach the COSMO site via the avenue at the Parkwald. From here, Quartierstrasse connects the individual point houses one with the other. A communal underground car park offers direct elevator access to each apartment. Above-ground parking spaces and secure bicycle parking spaces are also available.
The solitary building at the corner of the site will be architecturally identified as the gateway to Karben, playing off of the neighbouring "Neuen Mitte" ('New Centre') development concept. A boarding house with a neighborhood kiosk is expected to be housed here. Two- to three-room apartments are available in the adjacent block, which offer loggias over the entire width of the building. A playground for small children under three years of age and another for larger ones in the park forest are planned right across the street.
