My name is Constance and my new home is right on Poppelsdorfer Allee. Let me give you some insights and accompany you around my neighborhood.
It has been more than 300 years since I, Constance, left my home country of France to start a new life with Elector Joseph Clemens of Bavaria in Bonn. He had the impressive Poppelsdorf Castle built in the centre of town, where we lived together for the next few decades. After Joseph's sudden death I returned to France. I undertook various journeys that took me across Europe and beyond the borders of the continent and around the world.
I visited the metropolises of Europe, looked down from the first skyscrapers in New York and walked on the Great Wall of China. I have traveled to many fascinating places over the past centuries, but Bonn is still the best place to live for me to this day.
These modern buildings blend seamlessly into the Gründerzeit district of Südstadt thanks to the material language of their surfaces and their elegant architecture. The stylishness of the environment around historic Poppelsdorfer Allee radiates from the ensemble.
All apartments have either a loggia or a balcony and offer contemporary outfitting features. In the courtyard as well as on the roof of the property, the greenery sets specific design accents that create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
This picturesque avenue with its chestnut trees and the charming facades of the Gründerzeit houses greet me every morning when I leave my new apartment on Poppelsdorfer Allee. My favorite café is just around the corner.
I stop by here and enjoy a fresh croissant and a hot espresso. The atmosphere of the café always brings back memories of my time in Paris. The same applies to the small boutiques here in the district, where I always find something new.
It is also a leisurely walk from my apartment to get to Poppelsdorf Castle or the banks of the Rhine.
