Petershagen/Eggersdorf is an office-block-free municipality in the eastern reaches of the federal capital Berlin. Approx. 15,000 residents live here, with the population steadily increasing since 1993 due to immigration - especially from the city of Berlin.

Petershagen/Eggersdorf lies along state roads L234 between Bruchmühle and Strausberg and L303 between Rüdersdorf and Strausberg. The B1/5 federal road runs about four kilometers south of the central Petershagen. The closest motorway junction is Berlin-Hellersdorf on the A10 (eastern Berlin ring road).

Petershagen Nord station serves S-Bahn train line 5 and is located in the Petershagen district. Strausberg station along the Berlin-Küstrin line is located a few hundred meters east of the center of Eggersdorf.

The community of Petershagen/Eggersdorf is located at the eastern city limits of Berlin. The distances to the city centre are short thanks to excellent connections via both S-Bahn trains and car. The A10 exit at Hellersdorf can be reached in a few minutes.

Despite close proximity to the metropolis, when you visit Petershagen it quickly becomes clear that this is anything but urban hustle and bustle. It's more the quietness that speaks for the place. Here you replace the incessant background noise of the big city with the calming rustle of the trees.
