General renovation of a heritage-listed Altstadt house
In the Middle Ages the alley was called “among the carpenters”. However, the current name only dates back to around 1800, which comes from a wig maker named Steck. The alley also creates a connection between Roten-Stern-Gasse and Obermünsterstrasse.
The property itself is an eaves house from the 14th/15th century. Century and impresses with its concave indentation towards the middle.
